  • At Berry Body Labs, my approach to personal training is focused on providing personalized, high-quality service to my clients. I believe that everyone is unique, and I work closely with our clients to develop customized fitness plans that are tailored to their individual goals, needs, and preferences.

    My approach is holistic, and I take into account the whole person when developing fitness plans. I consider factors such as nutrition, stress, and overall lifestyle, in addition to exercise, to help our clients achieve their goals in the most effective and sustainable way.

    I also believe in providing ongoing support and guidance to our clients, and I am dedicated to helping them not only reach their goals, but also maintain their progress and continue to improve over time. My goal is to help my clients achieve their best possible health and fitness, and I am committed to providing the support and guidance they need to do so.

  • Berry Body Labs’ personal training services include the following:

    Developing personalized fitness plans

    Providing guidance and instruction on proper exercise technique

    Monitoring and adjusting workouts to ensure they are safe and effective

    Providing ongoing support and motivation

    Tracking and measuring progress

  • The frequency of training sessions with a personal trainer will depend on your goals, availability, and fitness level. In general, most personal trainers recommend training at least twice a week to see significant improvements in fitness and strength. However, some clients may benefit from more frequent training sessions, while others may need less frequent sessions depending on their goals and schedule.

    It is still recommended that you get 150 minutes or more of moderate intensity exercise per week, even if you are working with a personal trainer. This can include your training sessions with your personal trainer, as well as other forms of exercise such as brisk walking, swimming, or cycling. We will work together to create a comprehensive fitness plan that helps you meet your goals and incorporates a variety of activities.

  • Our cancellation policy is designed to ensure that clients receive the best possible service, and to help them stay accountable to their health and fitness goals.

    Our policy requires clients to provide 24 hours' notice for cancellations to avoid being charged for the full session. I understand that emergencies and unforeseen events can arise, and I am happy to allow for emergency cancellations. In these cases, I will waive any fees or charges.

    If a client cancels with less than 24 hours' notice, or does not show up for a scheduled session, they will be charged with half the cost of the session to compensate for lost time and income. This fee is also intended to help clients stay accountable to their health and fitness goals, and to prioritize their training sessions.

    I also offer clients the option to reschedule their session if they need to cancel, as long as they provide the required notice. I want to be as flexible as possible to accommodate our clients' needs, while also ensuring that I am compensated for lost time and income, and that our clients stay accountable to their goals.

  • Getting started with Berry Body Labs is easy! Simply contact me to schedule a consultation, where we will discuss your fitness goals and develop a personalized fitness plan that is tailored to your needs and preferences.

    During your consultation, we will also discuss your availability and schedule, as well as any other details, such as exercise or equipment preferences. I will then provide you with a quote for our services, and we will work with you to schedule your first training session.

  • I don't currently offer online training, but once I’ve had a chance to work with clients in person and ensure they understand the proper use of any equipment or machines they may need, I am able to offer a combination of in-person and online training to help them continue their progress.

  • I am not currently offering group training, but am looking in to it and hope to offer it in the near future. In the meantime, I am focused on providing personalized one-on-one training and support. If you're interested in group training, please contact us to express your interest and I'll keep you updated.

  • I offer competitive rates for our personal training services. My rates are based on a variety of factors, such as the length and frequency of training sessions, the type of services provided, and the location of the training.

  • I recommend that you bring the following items to your personal training sessions:

    A towel

    Water and a water bottle

    Comfortable, breathable clothing that allows you to move freely

    Appropriate shoes

    Any medications or medical devices you may need (e.g. inhaler, insulin)

  • While I am not a licensed nutritionist or dietitian, I believe that nutrition is an important part of overall health and fitness. I can provide general information about healthy eating, and I can work with you to develop healthy habits and make positive changes to your diet.

    However, I am not qualified to provide specific nutrition advice or create meal plans for the purpose of preventing, treating, or curing any diseases or disorders. If you have specific nutritional needs or concerns, I would recommend consulting with a licensed nutritionist or dietitian.

  • While I am dedicated to helping all of my clients achieve their health and fitness goals, I am not trained to work with clients who have special needs or injuries.

  • As each person has different needs, preferences and skill levels, all workout plans are personalized for each individual client.

  • Sorry, but I don't currently offer in-home training. I can provide guidance, planning and support to help you exercise safely and effectively at home if you prefer.

  • At this time Berry Body Labs does not have its own facility. However, I am able to provide training at city-run facility in Ottawa and at condominium gyms, so long as their rules allow it. I'm experienced in working with a variety of different gym environments, and I'll make sure to research the rules and regulations of any gym we're considering to ensure we're able to use the facilities in a way that's safe and effective for your training.

  • I do not offer massage or physical therapy services. These services require specialized training and expertise that I do not currently possess.

  • I am not able to provide training for specific sports or activities. However, my focus is on providing personalized fitness training and guidance, and I’m dedicated to helping you achieve your fitness goals and improve your overall well-being.

    While I don't have expertise in training for specific sports or activities, I can include specific strength building exercises that focus on muscle groups used in a specific sport, as part of a general fitness training program. This can help you improve your overall fitness and well-being, which can in turn improve your performance in any sport or activity you choose to pursue.

  • I track and measure progress in a few different ways.
    Depending on the client's goals and preferences, I may use tools like fitness assessments, body composition measurements, and performance tests to assess their current fitness levels and identify areas for improvement.
    I also use regular check-ins and progress updates to track changes over time, and use this information to adjust and refine the training plan as needed. We believe that tracking and measuring progress is an important part of the training process, and I am committed to helping clients see the results of their hard work.
